( Any Ideas ))))????????
@neilgerald77 no you dont have to do all this junk with the 11.6 inch or 10.1 inch…(thankfully) u just have to remove a door on the bottom and replace it not all this
@kody1234567891011 middle one
this only has one ram slot?
Correct
damn that sucks, that means i have to buy a 2 gig ram stick if i want two gig
. 2gig ram costs alot lol
how come its says you have 8 gig of ram???
nevermind its ur drive lol
Thats 8GB SSD Hard Disk
Not all the Aspire Ones support 2GB, mine only supports a max of 1.5GB, so make sure you do your research.
lol mine 120
what is the exact ram stick do you have?
So what is the major improvement in usability with the ram upgrade??
What software requires the extra ram??
Will it be able to play games like W.O.W. or Day of Defeat Source??
RAM increases total system speed. RAM, Randomly Accesses Memory (Note the abbreviation is RAM) randomly stores memory that your computer can access much more quickly then if it tired to read that from the harddrive.
RAM makes ALL games run better.
And certain games and operating systems may require more RAM.
That sucks!
On the 10in new versions, there is a slot on the underside. Remove one screw and you have access to the ram!
Thanks! This video saved me hours of frustration.
Thank God the D250 isnt like this, thanks to those lil panels on the underside
Nice video
very good video, i like it
Great video! I had to disassemble two of these and this came in handy. I had to take the HDD out of one and put it in another to see if it would boot off that drive.
This video is useful for getting at the HDD as well as the memory because the HDD is located right next to the SODIMM slot.
This video is pretty relavent to disassembling an A105 8.9″ incase you are wanting to know. (thats the model I had to disassemble and reassemble…twice).
In regards to the reasoning of upgrading ram:
XP with how much has been added to it over the years, now runs best with a MINIMUM of 1GB ram. In other words, just sitting at the desktop, depending on what other software is installed, it could be using around .6 to 1GB of memory from just sitting. Adding more memory means being able to do more stuff at once. In regards to gaming, more memory helps but its not the only thing that improves gaming frames/second and graphics.
is it normal NOT TO BE ABLE to listen music and youtube with acer aspire one 250d ?
i have 1gb ram, just installed win xp, and can only play music if it’s on a flash drive.
cannot watch youtube clips, it’s all jittery. pls help
So this upgraded yours to 2 gb RAM?
i couldnt do it….
sticking to MAC from now on.
GREAT video though
@ToLiveAndDieIn1984 I had the same problem with mine. I Formated the drive and reinstalled a fresh copy of windows 7, It’s WAY faster than when I first used it and I can stream HD video
