i need to do a question deed you prefer the dv2 or the dm3 ?
because in brasil we have bolf but the dv2 only in black color
Based on how bad the trackpad is on the dm3, I prefer the dv2. I like the smaller size of the dv2 as well actually…

there is just a problem because the dm3 has a best processor and is just a bit expansive and my inicial idea was to buy an lite laptop to later when i go to the usa i buy a macbook pro. does the problem with the pad can be fixed with a mouse? do you have some advice to me mabe to buy an other laptop or netbook?

I got one at radioshack for 100.00 on a 2 year contract with sprint and it has the dvd drive with it! I LOVE IT!
I’m thinking about buying a HP dv2-1100, but i am not sure because it is discontinued. Is there a reason for this?
I’m not sure why HP discontinued it. Other than the hot air vent being on the front left side – which is where I tend to rest my left hand most of the time – I quite like the dv2. It doesn’t have the idiotic trackpad problems that the dm3 has…

True True Mac is the best.
That look’s alot like HP tried to copy the Macbook with it’s clean white presentation. Just like they tried to copy the iPad.
Good video though. You should do one on the New Unibody Macbook.

And why do you have to buy that DVD player?? In this high-end category,it’d be evident to package that DVD player.
I don’t know that I’d call a sub $1000 laptop a “high end” laptop…it’s not surprising that it’s not bundled. Besides, if someone already has an external DVD player, they wouldn’t want it bundled. Better to have it be an extra – it keeps the cost of the laptop lower.

Yeah, but aren’t you paying $50 or so a month for broadband access from Sprint, probably on a multi-year contract? That’s $1200 over two years…so Sprint is making lots of money off you and doesn’t mind throwing in the DVD drive.

@imsindi The battery life isn’t awful, but it’s not great. With the screen at 100% brightness and WiFi turned on, you’ll probably get around 2 to 2.5 hours. The biggest irritation with the dv2 is how the damn fan NEVER turns off or quiets down…
